Ashley Judd comes through the ride, beats depression

Moore / PhotorazziThe beautiful, brainy Baptist checked into the Shades Of Hope Treatment Centre in Buffalo Gap, Texas in February while suffering from depression and an eating disorder, and completed her 47-day program. Confident she's beaten the illness, Judd states: "I have so many more tools now. My self-care is really good." Praising her racing car driver spouse, Dario Franchitti, for standing by her during the treatment: "He is so supportive in just the right way. Pitch-perfect." Judd, whose real name is Ashley Tyler Ciminella, is active in humanitarian and political causes. Appointed global ambassador for YouthAIDS, an international organization promoting AIDS prevention and treatment, she also speaks out for and demonstrates at pro-choice events.Judd and her husband divide their time between a home in Scotland and their farm in Tennessee. The actress will next be seen onscreen in Come Early Morning.
