Jessica no Working Girl
Nov 24, 2006, 13:50 GMT

Jessica Simpson has quashed rumors she is to star in a remake of 'Working Girl'.
It had been reported that the 'Dukes of Hazzard' actress was going to play Tess McGill - an aspiring businesswoman, who was played by Melanie Griffith in the original - in a reworking of the popular 80s film.
Jessica insists she has no plans to appear in the movie and is currently busy with other projects.
She said: "I don't know where those rumors came from. I'm making a film called 'Blonde Ambition' that I'm doing with Luke Wilson."
Jessica believes the confusion may have arisen because her new film has a similar plot to 'Working Girl'.
She added: "It's along the same lines as 'Working Girl'. A small town girl moving to New York and turning into a great businesswoman."
Apart from Griffith, the original 'Working Girl' cast included a host of top Hollywood stars, such as Harrison Ford, Sigourney Weaver, Kevin Spacey and Alec Baldwin.
