Tom Cruise to meet local Maldivians

Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes have been invited to dance with locals while on their honeymoon in the Maldives.
The newlyweds are holidaying on a yacht off the coast of the country's capital Male and government officials have said they are eager to introduce the couple to their culture.
Government spokesman Mohamed Hussain Shareef said yesterday (22.11.06): "People would really love to meet them, show their culture and say 'hello' at the least.
"People are really curious and they feel they should show some of their culture, especially dancing."
The Maldives is made up of 1,192 islands and is a popular holiday destination famous for its beaches and luxury resorts.
Tom, 44, and Katie, 27, were married on Saturday (18.11.06) in a 15th-century castle in Bracciano, just outside Rome in Italy.
The couple became engaged last year and in April this year became the proud parents of daughter Suri.
