Whitney Houston's Atlanta home repossessed
Nov 23, 2006, 12:20 GMT
Whitney Houston's house has been repossessed after she failed to make her mortgage payments.
The singer's $1.4 million Atlanta mansion was seized and auctioned off on the steps of the Fulton County Courthouse earlier this week.
Reports suggest that Whitney and estranged husband Bobby Brown defaulted on mortgage payments and the five-bedroom house was foreclosed by the courts and put up for sale.
Last week, the 43-year-old singer denied reports that her $5.6 million home in New Jersey was to be repossessed due to claims she owed over $1 million in mortgage payments and taxes.
Whitney - who has overcome her addictions to drink and drugs - filed for divorce from Bobby, her husband of 14 years, on October 16 and has requested custody of the couple's daughter Bobbi Kristina, 13.
Whitney has also asked for any property litigation to be postponed until a later date.
