Will Smith's space voyage
Nov 23, 2006, 12:20 GMT

Will Smith wants to boldly go where only a few people have gone before... space!
The 'Men in Black' star - who is a follower of Scientology, a sci-fi cult based on the belief that people descend from aliens - thinks it will be easy to fulfil his ambition of becoming a space shuttle pilot, because somebody has already written down the instructions.
He said: "I know how to learn anything I want to learn. I know that I could learn how to fly a space shuttle because someone else knows how to fly it and they put it in a book."
Will and his wife Jada Pinkett Smith were guests at Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes' wedding in Italy last weekend. Tom is also a devout Scientologist.
During the Scientology ceremony the 'Top Gun' actor promised his bride a comb and a cat, while the 'Dawson's Creek' actress was told that "young men are free and may forget their promises".

Will-e-Will Smith has the clues, to find the 'tools' to break the 'rules' to get though life! I hope he can follow his 'goals' and be in the 'know' because he is such a smart man, that loves his ex-wife he adopted a 'kid' for her. Yes, Will Smith bought his ex-wife a goat so she'd never forget him. When will Will come out with Scientology Rap?... Or Issac Hayes have a 'Clear Album'? In time child, in time... Kick it... this is Will Smith for OT:III... Xenu.. x to e, n, u... he killed some homies, he was wrong he tossed them in valcano's and then droped H-bombs! Z--eee-nu we hate you, and your Pych-lovers too!
Scientology must be something good after all. Not because so many stars believe in it. Just because its detractors are so unpleasant..., a bit insane too.
Awww Jack,
Not all critics are like that. In fact scientology has been known to fake being a critic in the past just so members like yourself can pos what you posted.
Most critic's are very good people who don't care what people belive in. Just hate the evil actions scientology has been linked to time and time again in court records and cases.
But please, don't take my word for it. You can see the members of scientology in action on video's for yourself. They can be seen at xenutv.com
But to be fair also check out the scientology site. its scientology.com. Look at it all and make up your own mind.
Scientology organization is not perfect, yet. We are young. Underpaid and overworked. Just enough material for you to biatch about. We are on top though, despite of some horrible mistakes we made. And it's because we make sense. Aren't we? Oh, I forgot, take your fave Xenu story and shove it up your arse. That's not what it's all about. And if you really want to find out, just be yourself for a sec and ask questions with no sarcasm. The world has enough of it.
I'm glad to finally see a Scientologist admit there are problems in Scientology. You're right, staffers are underpaid and overworked. This isn't a recent development, though; it's been true for decades. If Scientology is 'on top' and ethical, and the tech is infallible, why have there been, as you describe them, 'horrible mistakes'? Why are its staffers treated so poorly while its celebrities are treated like royalty? And why is it necessary for your Sea Org to have the harsh, punitive RPF?
About the Xenu story, I don't know any serious Scientology critic who claims the Xenu story is what 'it's all about.' But it is a crucial part. It's LRH's account of where all Thetans came from, and if each Thetan is affected by all his or her previous lives, then each Thetan's history is important and relevant, and thus the Xenu story is important and relevant to all Thetans. If you don't believe the Xenu story, either you haven't reached OT III yet or you are lying. Which is it?
Even with out the Xenu story... there are some facts like L. Ron was a Science Fiction writer. If people feel upset about being underpaid they took the vow of poverty for Mr. Hubbard not me. Much of the Scinetology orentation video's talk about how bad materilists are. But the organization itself is made up of them. L. Ron lived in nice mansions, had good food, a ship at his disposal. So the whole thought that anti-scientologists are evil 'materialsts' is crap. Tom Cruise owns many planes, John Travolta owns many jets. Expensive mansions, cars etc. fine clothes... Tom Cruise may think he knows about mental health, but he doesn't spend any time whatsoever with the mentally disabled and the mentally ill. I don't like Scientology, when it interferes with people who need medication that would otherwise hurt themself or others. In the long run, it harms many than it helps. How does Scientology explain Autism?... L. Ron was a self proclaimed Mental Health expert.... As Will Smith is concerned, I thought a poor boy from Philly had more street smarts than that! But since 2003 he has been groomed by Tom Cruise, because Will is a big fan.
Even more than being a dangerous cult that robs people of their free will and money is a highly organized crime sindicate that has somehow won tax exemot status in the U.S. Yes the fact that they belive the story of Xenu is humorous but the fact that they frame critics for crimes they didnt commit or repeatedly sue their critics in a policy called 'Free Game' is quite frightening.
Do some research, not everyone survives their experiece with them.
When did Will Smith become a ? I've never heard that one. How sad. He seems like such a smart guy. How could he read Hubbard's hilarious 'A History of Man' without doubling over in laughter? Such bats&*t crazy crap couldn't possibly be confused with science . . . could it? But then again, it seems that half the people in the US believe that Adam and Eve rode to church on dinosaurs.
Must be interesting to have this many people blow smoke up your ass, 24 hours a day, for these celebs to believe this stuff.
Will Smith is not a Scientologist and has publicly stated that his Baptist grandma would get up out of her casket if he became a Scientologist. Nor is Jada a Scientologist.
