Noel Gallagher slams 'idiot' Liam

Noel Gallagher says brother Liam has just two problems in his life - "everything he says and everything he does".

Although relations are the best they've ever been between the two rock 'n' roll siblings, Noel insists Liam can't help but cause arguments and make trouble because that's the person he is.

The Oasis guitarist told the Big Issue magazine: "Liam's still a f***ing idiot. An idiot! Liam's only got two problems: everything he f***ing says and everything he f***ing does! I understand his belligerence. What I don't understand his belligerence towards me. I can't accept that.

"Every time there's something wrong in Liam's life, in his madness, it all comes back to me. I get phone calls off him at five in the morning. 'Cos he knows you are in bed, right, and he only ever rings me when he's

Noel, 39, claims the root of Liam's antagonistic behaviour is his need for constant praise and reassurance that he is as great as he thinks he is.

But despite all their fall-outs the songwriter admits he can't imagine life without his younger brother.

Noel - whose band has just released their best of album 'Stop The Clocks' - explained: "He can't get his head round the fact that Oasis wouldn't be Oasis without him. When we're doing these big stadium shows and there's 60,000 people chanting, 'Liam, Liam', I'm like, 'Isn't that enough for you?' So I just put it down to the fact that he's a f***ing idiot. But he's my idiot, I guess."
