Interesting article. I'm wondering what the words 'Super Scientologist' and 'minor Scientologist' mean. Would you call Stephen Speilberg a Super Jew? Who might be examples of 'Minor Jews?'

Within the church, members are arranged in a hierarchically pyramid ranked structure, with higher level members holding authority over lower ranked subordinates, especially as evidenced by the Sea Org.

Scientology is an invented practice by a hack writer who was obsessed with science fiction.

To copmare it to Judaism, Buddhism, Catholicism or Islam is ludicrous.
It certainly enjoys the tax free benefits the other religions enjoy, and to be part od Scientology involves forking over lots of dough

A Scientologist for 30 years.Nov 23rd, 2006 - 07:26:55

You people all need to read, minimally, a book on the subject. You are basing all your weird and wild opinions on vested interests of the coporate media. Keep in mind the fact that Scientology encourages people not to take harmful drugs, be it perscription or freelance!
Scientology means the study of knowing and the full body of information is available to anyone that is able to read. The philosophy is based on the premise or fact, depending on one's view, that man (the human race) is basically a spiritual being living out a life in a corporeal form.
Another of the most shocking premises of the Scientology philosophy is that man is basically good and is seeking to survive. He often acts badly when confronted with overwhelming problems that are unsolvable. Scientology has information and ways to help an individual solve his own problems and increase his survival potential.
Scientology is currently the fasted growing religion on the planet. How many authors do you know that wrote a book over 50 years ago that is still on the NY Times best seller list? Read it. The book is Dianetics, The Modern Science of Mental Health. You might learn something.
I believe in the concept of respecting the religious beliefs of others and will assure you, most Scientologists agree with this principal.
Let's see if you have enough fortitude to print this.

Interesting contribution from another 30-year CoS member.

Here is another 30-year Church of Scientology 'graduate' who chose a different route to you, and blew. I do hope you were able to read the links in my post, but it's highly doubtful a) that you'll even revisit this site or that b) you will and that you'll comment on it. We know from ex 'in' Scientologists it's evil entheta, to be avoided as per Hubbard's instructions.

and don't forget to visit some important informational sites on the net such as this one. There are too many to list. All good.

Tired of seeing all discussions of Tom Cruise or John Travolta reel in the disgruntled ex-scientology dozen.

For once, it'd be cool to see a discussion board post about Travolta or Cruise discuss their merits as actors (or lack thereof if that's your view), their filmography, or whatever.

We don't see the posts about Richard Gere bring in the haters of buddhism. Mel Gibson sure brought in haters of Catholics, but then again the man made those dumbass statements.

Who cares if Cruise is a super-duper scientologist or an average one.

And yes, I get it, you people *really* have an issue with Scientology. My advice? Move on. Take up knitting, or start collecting stamps.

Tom Cruise considers that the most important thing about him is that he is a Scientologist. He says so in the International Association of Scientologists event of 2004. Go into a local Scientology 'Org' and ask to see it. But if anyone there asks you to sign anything walk away.

Who in the world takes their best man on their honeymoon?

That's just weird! Can't you just feel your gag reflex kicking in on that one?

A SuperScientologist is one more accomplished. Scientology is a success/UFO cult whose minor status could only be overcome by Hollywood glamour, or so thought SuperGooRoo & Scientology founder L.Ron Hubbard. The real claims of scientology are so outlandish that only those who cannot process information in any normal, common sense style can be brought in. Hence the perfect fit for entertainers.

For instance, check out the 'spaceship' used by space travellers, according to L. Ron H -- who earned his bread previously by writing science fiction: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Xenu

About celebrities & Scientology: http://www.xenu.net/archive/celebrities/

etc, etc, etc

peace out
