Nov 22, 2006, 12:10 GMT

Sir Elton John has lost out on a part in the next 'Superman' movie after being outbid at an auction.
The flamboyant musician's offer of £40,000 was topped by British business tycoon Sir Philip Green - the owner of high-street fashion giant TopShop - who paid £50,000 for the cameo role to go to his wife Tina.
A source said: "Elton was obviously very interested. He kept bidding, up to £40,000, but it went to Sir Philip's wife Tina."
Other lots available included a romantic dinner with Paris Hilton, which fetched a whopping £30,000.
The auction, held at London's exclusive Fifty club, raised £500,000 for the Old Vic theatre.
Other stars present included 'Superman Returns' actor Kevin Spacey, who is the artistic director of the Old Vic, supermodel Elle Macpherson and Sting.
The next film in the series, 'Superman: The Man Of Steel', will see Brandon Routh reprise his role as the superhero, while Spacey is expected to reprise his role as villain Lex Luthor.
'Superman Returns' director Bryan Singer will take the helm again and the movie is due for release in the summer of 2009.
