Brittany Murphy had a teenage crush on Robin Williams.
The actress - who recently lent her voice to a cartoon character in new animated film 'Happy Feet' along with Williams and Nicole Kidman - was very disappointed she never got to meet the actor during recordings as she fantasised about dating him when she was younger.
She told Scotland's Daily Record newspaper: "We were never even in the same room. That was a shame because I have been his biggest fan for so long. When I was just 13, a magazine asked me who my Hollywood crush was. When the article was published there was a heart with my face attached to a heart with Robin's face because he was my crush."
Murphy, 29, has also revealed her dream role would be playing her music idol Janis Joplin.
The actress was cast as the tragic 70s music icon several years ago but the project was cancelled.
Brittany said: "I still regret that they didn't do the Janis movie. Maybe one day. It is a dream of mine and I still hope we can do it."
