Sexiest Man George Clooney

George Clooney has been voted People magazine's Sexiest Man Alive for 2006.

The handsome 45-year-old actor is just the second person to be honored with the coveted title twice, the first being his 'Ocean's Thirteen' co-star and close friend Brad Pitt.

George quipped: "This one's going to be hard for Brad since he's been Sexiest Man Alive twice. He's enjoyed that mantle. I'd say, 'Sexiest Man Alive' to him and he'd go, 'Two-time.' So that's been taken away. We used to call him Two Time. So Brad's going to be upset."

The Oscar-winning star - who was first named Sexiest Man Alive in 1997 and chosen by People magazine as one of the 50 Most Beautiful People in the World in 1996 - also joked about the responsibility that comes with the honour.

He added: "There's a lot of pressure, there are all the events you have to show up for. The sash you have to wear is embarrassing."

The single actor - who ended his on/off romance with British TV presenter Lisa Snowdon earlier this year - also revealed he is no rush to get married again. He divorced his first wife actress Talia Balsam in 1993.

He said: "Who knows? I've been married. It's not something I'm looking out for. The truth is, I'm really happy."
