Denise Richards' laptop apology
Nov 13, 2006, 12:30 GMT
Denise Richards has apologized for throwing a laptop over a balcony and nearly injuring an elderly lady.
The 35-year-old actress had been shooting scenes for her new movie 'Blonde and Blonder' at Vancouver's River Rock Casino when she got into a tussle with a photographer, snatched his portable computer and hurled it over the balcony.
Denise has confessed she feels terrible about the incident, and claims she only lost her temper because the snapper insulted her family.
She told US TV show 'Access Hollywood': "I am not justifying my behaviour. It was wrong. I saw one of the photographers, went up to him and offered to give him a few nice shots and asked him to leave so we could focus on our scene. He wouldn't and he got really belligerent and he was saying vulgar, nasty things to me and made a derogatory remark about my family. I just did what I did and I feel terrible."
At first it was believed the flying laptop struck a wheelchair-bound 80-year-old and her friend, who were in the lobby.
However, Denise - who has two daughters, Sam and Lola, with her soon-to-be ex-husband Charlie Sheen - has now revealed the computer narrowly missed the woman.
She added: "I saw her and it didn't hit her. It fell next to her and startled her. She came up and we talked to her and apologized. All I can say is thank God nobody got hurt."
Denise and her co-star, 'Baywatch' actress Pamela Anderson, were both interviewed by police over the incident last week, however, Denise will not face criminal charges.
