Mariah Carey helps a yak herder
Nov 9, 2006, 12:20 GMT
Mariah Carey has tried to donate a fur coat to a Mongolian yak herder.
The 'Hero' singer was given two floor-length mink coats by a Russian oligarch after she performed at his birthday earlier this year, but donated them to animal rights group PETA as she does not approve of wearing fur.
One was kept by the organisation for protest purposes, but the second coat was donated to a Mongolian yak herder to help keep him warm in the harsh winter months.
However, the coat was lost in the post on its way to Mongolia.
PETA has revealed that the shipping company have agreed to pay $7,500 for the lost coat, which "will buy a lot of paint!"
Meanwhile, Mariah was recently blasted by Eminem for denying the pair had dated.
The hip-hop star branded Mariah a "b***h" and a "****" while appearing on Shade 45 - his US satellite radio channel.
