Babyshambles leadman Pete Doherty was fined £750 and ordered to pay £250 compensation after he admitted kicking the hand of a female radio reporter.
Doherty pleaded not guilty to a charge of assault by beating, but his lawyer Sean Curran said he changed his plea on the day the trial was due to start after watching the video of himself doing the actual deed on March 23rd.
The case prosecutor said Doherty kicked out and hit the hand of BBC Radio 1's Trudi Barber, knocking a microphone from it.
She said a doctor prescribed her painkillers after she suffered pain to her hand which spread to her shoulder, but she still lost sleep over it.
The attack occurred outside Thames Magistrates Court after Doherty appeared on drugs charges.
