Nicole Appleton says fiancé Liam Gallagher is misunderstood.
The All Saints singer - who has been with the Oasis frontman for almost six years - says these days Liam hardly ever lives up to his hellraising reputation and devotes all his energy to her and his two sons, Gene, four, and seven-year-old Lennon, from his first marriage to actress Patsy Kensit.
She said: "People always judge him, but when you meet him, he's so different. He's such a good dad, he's addicted to his boys. He's this big climbing frame for them. At heart, he's just a big, lovely northern guy."
Nicole - who used to date Liam's arch-rival Robbie Williams - also revealed it is the couple's hot tempers that keep their romance alive.
She said: "We do each other's heads in but it's all out of love. I guess we've met out match."
