Grey's Anatomy star Washington fights with costumer

A costumer who allegedly brawled with actor Isaiah Washington, stated to the National Enquirer that Isaiah Washington was a "real nasty guy." Crewmember Bryan Birge was not shocked about past news between Washington and co-star "McDreamy" Patrick Dempsey being leaked to the press. Birge insists he's been a past victim of Washington's anger.Birge alleges that in 1996, he had a fight with Washington on the set of police drama High Incident, and subsequently filed a restraining order against Washington.Birge tried to make sure the actor's wardrobe was in line for continuity for scenes in the film, and Washington then "blew up when the costumer told him to take a magazine out of his pocket." reported the Enquirer.The National Enquirer reported that Birge recalled, "He grabbed me by my throat, choking me. Then he picked me up and threw me over a couch."When Washington refused to take the restraining order against him seriously, the costumer called the police: "They came down, handcuffed him and took him off in a squad car." Stated Birge in the Enquirer.Washington admitted his bad blood with "McDreamy" Dempsey, saying, "We had a difference of opinions while working on set but we've resolved it."Regarding Washington's current role on "Grey's," Birge says, "I hope he gets fired."
