Porn superstar Jenna Jameson got her boyfriend banned from giving a speech at a Marines Corps 'birthday' celebration because bosses feared her attendance would be "inappropriate".

The X-rated actress - the star of such films as 'I Love Lesbians', 'Smells Like... Sex' and 'Wicked Weapon' - was due to accompany her lover, Ultimate Fighter Tito Ortiz, to the 'birthday ball' of the Marine Corps Air Station Miramar, in San Diego, on November 12.

Tito had been booked to give a speech in front of 800 uniformed men as the guest of honour at the bash.

However, when top brass discovered he was planning to bring his blonde porn star girlfriend along they pulled the plug over concerns she would lower the tone of the event.

Tito received an e-mail from Major Jason Johnston saying: "There is some serious consternation here about having your girlfriend attend our ball. Of course I and a lot of Marines are very excited about it, but many of our commanders feel it might be inappropriate for the type of event we are having. It is professionally embarrassing for me to have to possibly retract our invitation, especially when I am such a big fan."

It has been confirmed that Tito and Jenna will not be attending the party.
