Victoria Beckham can't wait for her husband to be knighted so she can become a lady.

The former Spice Girl refused to confirm if former England football captain David is in line to become a Sir and be knighted by Britain's Queen Elizabeth but thinks her spouse deserves it.

She told Britain's Radio 1: "Well you read a lot of things in the papers and a lot of it isn't true, but to be honest when I read that I thought, 'Oh I hope that's true.'

"It would be wonderful to be Lady Beckham, how camp!

"But seriously, David has done a lot for services to football for this country. He also helped a lot on the Olympic bid and it would be great."

Meanwhile, Victoria is reportedly considering turning down a TV offer in America so she can be with David.

She has been offered the chance to host a fashion-based reality show, but since being dropped from the England team David's obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) has allegedly gotten worse and his wife is said to fear he is too vulnerable to be left alone.

A source recently said: "This is a hard one for Victoria. Career breaks like this don't come along often, but David and her boys mean the world to her. The fashion world respects Victoria so this show could be huge."
