Charlie's Angels star Farrah Fawcett was diagnosed with lower intestinal cancer in September. Now Fawcett needs life-saving surgery due to complications caused by her radiation and her chemotherapy.
The star was rushed to hospital in Los Angeles on October 16th suffering from excessive bleeding and a swollen arm brought on by her radiation and chemo treatment for cancer, according to US reports. Farrah's arm swelled due to a stent implanted near her shoulder that delivers chemotherapy to the tumor.
Farrah, 59, is so weak from her treatment that doctors are waiting to perform the necessary surgery, the National Enquirer magazine reports.
The Enquirer reports that Farrah needs a hysterectomy after hemorrhaging from a burst uterine tumor, caused by her cancer treatments.
"It's definitely a setback," an unnamed insider told the Enquirer. "Farrah's doctors have been forced to take a triage approach to her treatment.
"They're dealing with the most serious conditions first, in addition to trying to eradicate the cancer."
