Cash in the attic for Gary Barlow
Oct 26, 2006, 14:00 GMT
Gary Barlow sold his household junk in an auction yesterday (25.10.06).
Furniture, fake statues and cheap reproduction paintings belonging to the Take That singer went under the hammer, following the sale of his £5 million Cheshire mansion.
A Versace embroidered bedspread, originally worth thousands, was sold for a mere £350.
Among the less impressive items on offer was a green Ikea sofa, which fetched £35 and a telescope sold for £130.
The most expensive items at the sale were a pair of settees, which fetched £2500.
Gary - who is moving to London following the success of the Take That reunion - had apparently tried to keep his identity a secret, but the word got out.
The 65 items on sale fetched a total of £11,439.
