Kylie Minogue is officially art
Oct 26, 2006, 11:10 GMT
Kylie Minogue is set to be the subject of a new exhibition in London's Victoria and Albert museum.
'Kylie: The Exhibition' will host a display of classic costumes from her 20-year career, including the oil-stained dungarees she wore in her role as Charlene Robinson in 'Neighbours' in the 80s and the controversial gold hotpants she donned in her 'Spinning Around' video.
Kylie said: "I hope visitors have a great time exploring the exhibition, finding the familiar and discovering the new."
The exhibition - which opens in February next year - will reveal 45 stunning stage costumes from Kylie's nine world tours, as well as hats, accessories and photographs.
The 38-year-old donated many of the glitzy outfits herself and is planning to add to the exhibition after she resumes her 'Showgirl' tour next month after recovering from breast cancer.
A museum spokesman said: "Kylie decided to put her clothes on show like this because it is a lovely way of remembering her career."
The exhibition originated in Melbourne, where it attracted 300,000 visitors during its three-month run.

to the previous replyer...i think Kylie is great. i think it doesn't mean she have to donate just because she's rich... i know there are many Tsunami victims... but you cannot blame people for not doing beneficial thing for them... plus i think there are many people do pay attentions to the Tsunami, but do they have to tell the world that i have donate much money to the victims... that doesn't make sence... Actually Kylie has established a kink of foundations for those children from Tsunami victims of Sri Lanka... so stop blame Kylie, alright... she's nice ladie... and i think you are just too subjective...

The beginning from the exhibition was at 26.12.2005 in Sydney.
This was the anniversary day from the tsunami disaster.
At the 26.12.2004 publicised the management news over a concert in Moscow.
The management sad that _Kylie Minogue have made 1,8 million euro or dollar.
It was a concert for oil millionaires.
And the news was at the same day from the tsunami disaster.
I write in the official German EMI forum:
Kylie made so much money by this concert.
Why she make not a benefit concert?
The resume was that the forum promoters want me kick out with my question.
It was a big monologues over a gratis concert from Kylie Minogue for Australia Nato soldiers.
This is nearly if Madonna makes a gratis concert for American soldiers in Iraq.
And then say the management it is a benefit concert for the Iraq peoples.
She had not made a benefit concert for the tsunami victims.
But what I can not understand:
Why she make the beginning from the exhibition at 26.12.2005.
This is the anniversary day from the 220.000 death peoples.
And no money from the entry tickets in Sydney for the victims.
