Tom Cruise sets date
Oct 25, 2006, 7:00 GMT
Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes will marry in Italy on November 18.
The couple - who have a six-month-old baby daughter Suri together - sent out wedding invitations last week, informing their guests the anticipated nuptials are to take place on the weekend of November 16-19, according to US Weekly.
The couple's representative Arnold Robinson confirmed: "All those details are correct."
The couple - who got engaged in June 2005 in Paris - are apparently planning to take "proper security measures" to ensure they exchange their vows in privacy.
Italian designer Giorgio Armani revealed recently the 'Batman Begins' actress will be wearing one of his designs on her big day.
He said: "When I am asked by a friend to make a wedding wardrobe, it goes straight to my heart.
"It really is an honour to play a small role in that milestone moment."
Armani will design Katie's wardrobe for the entire weekend and is also creating Tom's outfit for the big day.

What is this big 'milestone' event in Tom and Katie's wedding? Why are you giving such importance to a divorced man who is remarrying? Is there anything new in this marriage? They already have a child out of wedlock from this union. This is not a 'milestone,' but a bad testimony and a bad example for the youth of our day.
I write as a outsider to the latest hollywood example of marriage. I have read late last summer that the 'happy couple' has agreed on a prenup agreement. And its a rather unusual one at that. Seems to be tiered in a way. They have to stay married for upwards of 10 to 12 years in order for the blushing bride to claim half of his assests in court.
If they break up in 2 years after they get married. She gets almost nothing. Furthermore, Tom said he will take the kid from Kate. And considering his $$ he would outlast her in court.
So you tell me. Is this wedding a complete sham or what? And don't even get me started on that aledged religion they're into.
Lastly, Tom...your boxoffice grand slams are over there pal. Best of luck on your next role! LOL!
is not a religion, it is a UFO cult. It is also the diabolical scheme of L Ron Hubbard, primarily designed to elicit as much money as possible from the poor souls who get mixed up in it. Only today, it's David Miscavige at the reins, and he's a bigger crackpot than Hubbard ever thought about.
Think I'm overly hostile to this cult? Just search for Lisa McPherson on Google, and then look at the numerous other examples of people killed by this oppressive mockery of religion.
Then search for the Xenu leaflet and let me know if you don't think it's the most ridiculous thing you've ever read.

Somehow the word Scientology got removed as the first word of my last post. Just so you know.

...is evil. There, that ought to cover it.
Why is such publicity is given to the Hollywood-Marriage-Divorce-and-Re-marriage-remarriage-remarriage-and-the-en dless-divorce-remarriage style? To many of the youth, these so-called celebritries are 'role-models,' and they try to emulate their lifestyle. Or are they good role-models whom we can follow? NO, THEY ARE NOT. Media too is privy to this evil propaganda; it goes on glamorizing, photographing, printing and publishing the immoral lifestyle of these stars, many of whom are womenisers, alcoholics and grug addicts. What a shame these celebrities bring on God's humanity!
John,
I know I'm preaching to the choir, but what can you expect from the media, and society as a whole, when God and any reference thereof is removed from our schools and our government.
This country is going to be much like Europe within a couple of decades; a post-Christian society based on secular humanism with no moral compass to guide it. Heck, we're most of the way there already.
Cruise, a crackpot Scientologist moron, is like the rest of the Hollywood goofballs. Money, prestige and power matter more than interpersonal relationships. He and Katie won't last, there's no denying that. Hopefully she'll come to her senses and get out of the cult when she gets out of the marriage. But to these type of people, it's okay to go from one partner to another, carelessly forgetting the vows they made, and the purpose of marriage. Also, remember they're usually surrounded by an entourage of people telling them how fantastic they are, congratulating them on all their decisions no matter how idiotic, and pretty much shielding them from any interaction with reality.
Nearly every religion says you are special, you matter to God. He cares for you personally. Secular humanism says you are an instinctual animal that is no better than the other animals who populate the planet; in fact, you are worse because you use up resources before they can be replenished.
Because of this, human life is devalued. Look at abortion. Every year in this country there are ~1 million human lives snuffed out by abortion as a form of birth control!!! We're not talking rape and incest or situations where the woman's life is in danger, which account for less than 1% of the procedures performed. We're talking about women who are inconvenienced and can't let a baby live because of their selfishness.
Any country that advocates the killing of babies is destined to devolve into the mess we have today, and it is only getting worse.

I really like the fact that Scientology points out some of the flaws in materialism and while good for Science, how materialism destroys spirituality and the concept of right and wrong. I also like that Scientology views a person as a spirit with the power to better his life instead of a mass of genes and chemicals that need to be 'balanced' with drugs, and that aren't responsible for their actions.
The wedding matters to fans. I'm really looking forward to it. It's been kinda like a soap opera. You gotta see the next episode to find out what happens next. I wonder what they're going to do when all of the hooplah surrounding the wedding is over....the story continues.
Well said, Xenu. Our nation (the U.S.) has lost its track. It is running fast towards its doom (of the time Noah and Sodom and Gomorrah). They did eat, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark, and the flood came, and destroyed them all. Likewise also as it was in the days of Lot; they did eat, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they builded; But the same day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven, and destroyed them all. Even thus shall it be in the day when the Son of man is revealed. Some others say, during Noah's time they married, divorced and remarried (while the former parters were still alive). Homosexuality, lesbianism, infanticide, abortion, divorce and remarriage (while the parter or original marriage is alive)--all are going to be judged by God. This is America's predicament unfortunately. It is heartbreaking to see millions of my countrymen and women are endorsing these things and gloating over such unwholesome practices. One of the Chief Justices once said, 'U.S. is slouching toward Sodom and Gomorrah.' I say, 'No, she is not slouching; but has run too fast and too far to a place from where there is no return.'

Woooohoooo!! It's about friggin' time!
Too bad it's going to be a private affair. I was hoping to be able to see pictures of the wedding. But maybe they'll do another Vanity Fair spread. That would rock!
It would be nice if we were spared Moby's jealous ranting, or the lame-ass excuses others use to get their jollies on bashing someone else's religion.
I wonder what movie Tom is going to put out next? Tom - you're the man!! Can't wait for your next release!!!
