Stephen Colbert, Comedy Central's satirical darling and cohort of Jon Stewart, has returned to his alma mater to lead the homecoming parade the other night in Evanston, Ill.
Colbert, who graduated from Northwestern in 1986, was the grand marshal of the parade, handing out candy and firing up the crowd as he marched through the campus wearing a purple Northwestern hooded sweatshirt.
The LA Times reports that Colbert's bookers are having a tougher time snagging congressmen and politicians as guests for his Colbert Report.
The politicians are finally in on the joke, usually at their expense, of Colbert's fish hook satire disguised as real interviews.
