Sir Paul McCartney stops Heather attack claim
Oct 24, 2006, 11:10 GMT
Sir Paul McCartney reportedly stopped his daughter Stella from attacking Heather Mills after she claimed Paul had been violent to his late wife Linda.
Stella, 35, who is eight-months pregnant with her second child, was allegedly so furious about Heather's slurs that she was determined to have a face-to-face confrontation with her soon to be ex step-mother.
A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "Stella was hell-bent on a face- to-face with Heather. But Paul urged her to keep her dignity.
"He said he wanted to have his day in court, and was doing his uppermost to stop the mud-slinging.
"Stella is still fuming but has had no contact with Heather after her dad's advice."
Heather's allegations emerged amid her £1 billion divorce battle with the former Beatle, the father of her two-year-old daughter, Bea.
To make matters worse for Stella, Heather, 38, was pictured wearing Stella McCartney designer boots at the weekend.
Friends and family of Paul, 64, have rubbished Heathers claims of abuse, which were leaked in official divorce court papers last week.
Sir Paul's former publicity man Geoff Baker said: "It's the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard in my life. Everyone knows that Paul and Linda had one of the happiest marriages in showbiz. "
Meanwhile it has also emerged that Heather claims to have recorded video evidence to back up her allegations of abuse against Paul. In the run up to the court battle Heather's aides are also helping her to create a video diary, recording her every move.
Heather is scheduled to make a legal application on November 3 for the divorce case to be heard in open court.
The full case is thought to be taking place next March.
