Jessica Simpson defends dad's 'podunk southern ways'

Singer and actor Jessica Simpson scoffs that she was offended when her dad, Joe, made salacious sounding comments about her large breasts during a magazine interview.
Joe Simpson was criticised about commenting on his daughter's bust size during an interview with GQ magazine back in 2004.
"She's got double-Ds! You can't cover those suckers up!" pere Simpson said.
Jane magazine interviewed Simpson, who said, "No, I've had double Ds for a long time. Are you kidding? No.
"My family is extremely close. I talk to my mom about my sex life. That's not something that creeps me out.
"We're Podunk Southern. And my dad is very open about his ideas and...it's disgusting that people would actually think...people are making a judgment on something that is false."

Nick got out of that family, and I bet he is saying 'Thank God I don't have to deal with them anymore!' I agree, the comment was very off base. I don't thing many fathers, Southern or not, comment on their daughters breast size.
I completely agree. That is too weird. Fathers are not supposed to discuss their daughters bra sized.
I hate to even get started on Jessica Simpson because I take up so many issues with her on so many levels, but the oddity of her father's commnets are jsut one more gripe to air about this 'lady'. I wouldn't mind seeing her fall off the face of the earth for just a little while.

I am a southern girl and it's untrue that southern men make such comments about their daughters.It's in very poor taste by anyone's standards. I think they are a bunch of wierdos that do not know what is normal
