Keith Urban checks himself into rehab, Kidman by his side

Country crooner Keith Urban's publicist Paul Freundlich issued a statement that says the country superstar voluntarily admitted himself to a treatment rehabilitation center on Thursday night, and that his new wife Nicole Kidman was by his side.
The statement said: "I deeply regret the hurt this has caused Nicole and the ones that love and support me," said Keith.
"One can never let ones guard down on recovery and I'm afraid that I have. With the strength and unwavering support I am blessed to have from my wife, family and friends, I am determined and resolved to a positive outcome."
The statement also said that all immediate appearances for his forthcoming CD will be postponed.
TMZ reports that this is not the first rehab for Urban. "The singer sought help in late 1998 for drug and alcohol abuse. Urban, who has admitted to free basing cocaine, once told USA Weekend Magazine 'I had this house in Nashville where I used to do drugs. ... I remember one night crawling around on my hands and knees, looking for these little rocks at five in the morning.' "
All immediate appearances by Urban have been postponed.
His new cd "Love, Pain, & the whole crazy thing" was set for a release onNovember 7th.
Kidman, who was born in Hawaii, and Keith Urban were both raised in Australia, recently married on June 25th in Sydney. They then re-located to Nashville, where Urban records.
A Grammy winner, he recently took home the award this year for best male country vocal performance for "You'll Think of Me."

hmmmm, maybe she will suggest 'Scientology'.....hahahahah!!! or maybe Nicole is jealous of the 'I walk the Line' about June Carter and Johnny Cash..and she wants to make a Movie about her and Urban....but then again Urban might not have a drinking issue...until now that Nicole made it one.
Says, they will divorce within a year. Call me and tell me I was right at 310-563-0087. I am off to do better things than watch these idiots.

What a way to ruin your career! But, I know why you backslid. You made a HUGE mistake marrying that thing. Now, you regret it, and you have to drink to cope with it. I know, cause I do the same thing. Only, I've been unhappily married to it for 23 years. You've only had to deal with it for 4 months. I told all my friends, when i was a fan of yours [which i stopped being when you married that thing], that you were making a mistake. I know you still love Nikki Taylor. And now she is engaged to someone else. She dumped you and you are not over her. You should have fought to keep Nikki. She is so much better than the thing you married. Who's sorry now? You are, cause you are in rehab. Get out of your unhappy marriage now, and get Nikki before it's too late. Best wishes.

Why would someone go back to the same 12 step program that obviously didn't work in the first place? I believe God is now testing her. I wonder if Nicole will suggest a program which she knows to be much more effective than 12 step or will she let all the politics get in the way of an actual recovery for her husband? It remains to be seen what type of woman she really is.
