Charlie and Denise act like adults for sake of children

Charlie Sheen and Denise Richards have called a truce on their feud for the sake of their children.

The 'Wild Things' actress and the 'Platoon' actor have been locked in a bitter divorce battle since April, although the couple have now agreed divorce terms.

However, the pair have decided to work on their differences for the sake of their daughters, Sam, two, and one-year-old Lola.

Charlie's spokesman confirmed: "When it comes to the welfare of their children, any past drama is history."

The couple put on a united front this week, when they took their girls to a festival and Denise demonstrated her friendly attitude by inviting Charlie's new girlfriend, actress Brooke Mueller, along.

A source told People magazine: "They are working really hard to be good friends and great parents.

"Denise wants Brooke to feel comfortable. She put together a bag with toys for her and the girls, along with a card telling her she's glad Brooke makes their father so happy."

In her divorce papers, Denise claimed Charlie was verbally and physically abusive towards her, was "addicted" to pornography and had sex with prostitutes.

Denise is now dating Bon Jovi guitarist Richie Sambora.
