wait a minute! doesn't she still have a mother? what is all this talk of her 'minders'?! surely any of these 'decisions' are up to her mother?!!
Why dont people take a step back and relise that Bindi will alway's be a wildlife Warrior and i believe that it's in Bindi's nature and that nobody can stop her Go for it Bindi follow your Heart, Stop saying what Terri, Bindi,Bob should do of course we are going to worry but if you believe it something you should go for it you only have 1 life and no matter what you do there is a risk no matter what your doing Love ya Terri,Bindi,Bob.
Steve we miss you so much you will alway's be in million's Heart's and Thought's now and forever.
Love Mel
This little girl has been surrounded by this world of media and publicity involving Aus Zoo and the TV channel for her whole life. This world is artificial. No eight year old is in a position to make decisions of that nature regarding being a public spokesman for the wildlife. I think she is being exploited - not by her mother, but possibly by those in the media business. I think Terry should put her foot down and let the girl have a normal childhood - if that is ever possible.
I think that Terry should put her foot down but I also think that she is getting old enough to make some decisions about her childhood. Maybe someone should ask her what she wants to do. Of course that would be her mothers job. I know that if it were me and my mother she would make the best decision for the both of us regardless of what the outside world would have to say. It is up to the Irwin family to make the decisions that are going to be the best ones for them.
Okay, where have you been? This little girl has been in the media since she was a baby. When she got older, it was VERY evident that she LOVED being in front of the camera and was very comfortable in doing so. It was stated by Terri, that Bindi would be allowed to return in front of the camera when she felt comfortable in doing so. Apparently that time is now. My feelings are this: That little girl is JUST like her Daddy, and she is keen to hop right back up on the horse so to speak. Good for her, I say! Have you ever thought that possibly this is part of the healing process too? To get back in the saddle and do what you love, but also knowing that it is what your Father loved too? I believe that Terri is a responsible and wonderful Mother who would NEVER allow her children to be exploited. It makes me angry whenever I see negative articles about ANYONE in that family, who was done NOTHING but good for this world. I say.... Keep up the awesome job, Irwin Family... You are doing Steve proud, as always. :))
I think that Terri will make the best choices for her daughter until she is able to make them herself. The public needs to let this family mourn the loss of Steve. Maybe Bindi needs to do this because it is a catharasis..an outlet..a way that she can honour her father, after all she is only eight.Terri will do what is right for Bindi as well as Bob.We need to step back and this family move on in the way that THEY see fit.
I think we all need to sit back and relax and let time heal these wounds. Just because Bindi is saying this is what she wants, doesnt mean she will continue it foever. Leave the child alone! Are we also forgetting that children dont mourn the same way adults do.Children bounce back much faster to the point we say ' dont they know who we just lost '? Im sure Terri will take very good care of her children as any mother would do.I also think were forgetting that Bindi was working on that show even before Steve passed away. Bindi has been in the public eye all her life and she seems to know how to deal with that. Truth be told ,my only concern is that Terri ( again like any person going through what they are ) watch how much trust you put in to people when it comes to your children. Sometimes people start out in the right direction and with honest intentions but greed may take over. At that point Bindi , Bob, or Terri could be taken advantage of by the people they trust the most.I believe in Terri and who she is as a person and I know she will continue to be the best support for her kids. May Steve continue to watch over your family Terri.
Bindi has been in the spotlight since she was born, is natrually gifted infront of crowds, and this is a way of life for her and the whole family! How come no one complained about this before Steve died? If she wishes to carry on her dads work then she should do so, as and when she feels capable of doing so with the guidence of her MOTHER (NOT THE PUBLIC). She has a fantasticly loving mother who has the ability to look after her best interests with out others thinking it's their right to preech to her on her upbringing?? No one knows their child like a MOTHER and I have every faith in Terry, the Irwins, also their extensive family this will be a job well done. At the end of the day it's no one elses business but theirs, so leave them alone!! Don't you think they already have enough to deal with?? All the good they have done for the world and this is how they get paid back, but then Steve said ' we should'nt hate these people, we should educate them'
Well, it is odd to all of a sudden demand that Bindi be given a normal childhood. She has *never* had a normal childhood. The show is not a result of her father's death; it was in preparation and planning before. *shrugs*
I do believe that she is being unduly railroaded and pressured, but again, this has always been happening, and happens in many households around the world. I am 30 years old and I still don't know for certain what I want to do with my remaining 40-60 years, so to put such global pressure on an 8 year old to head down a certain path is absolutely insane. Of course she feels right now that that is her path, but she has basically been raised with that mentality her entire life and is not old enough to yet stand up and start figuring out whether it will fit her forever or not.
The death of Steve Irwin is very sad and I wish his family all the best in the future.
However, let's get a bit of perspective here, I mean, there are children starving in Africa, being shot in the street in Brazil, and yet here we all are worrying about 'Bindi Irwin'!
Goodness me, by the time Bindi's 17 she'll have more cash under her belt than the majority of her fans will see in their lifetime, so perhaps put the violins away for a bit?
I'm not saying this little girl doesn't matter, I'm just saying I'm amazed at all the attention one well-to-do child is getting, post after post after post, even politicians 'worried' about her, and yet some children out there are eating out of garbage tips. Maybe the Liberal polly's of Australia should focus on getting the three year old refugees out of mandatory detention, rather than what is going to happen to 'Bindi'.
And anyway, isn't it ultimately up to her mother to decide for now how much exposure Bindi should have in the media and public eye? Everyone can have their say, but ultimately it is (and should be) her mother's choice. When Bindi gets older, then she can dceide for herself if she wnats to keep going or, like Shirley temple did, retreat from the limelight altogether.
I wish her all the best, and certainly wouldn't like to see any child exploited, but let's take it easy for now ha?
Probably the thing Bindi wants to do more than anything else in the world right now is to get back to what she and her father started before he died. She would feel very close to him this way and like she was doing what he would have wanted. From what I can see she has a very level-headed mother who will watch over her and protect her. She also has a few of her father's closest friends and relatives who love her very much and would never lead her astray. I say people should mind their own business and allow them to live their lives as they wish. This is all she knows and loves.
