Linday Lohan to check out for a year

Lindsay Lohan wants to take a break from acting to travel the world.

The 20-year-old actress - who recently split from boyfriend Harry Morton - wants to take time out from her hectic Hollywood career to see the wonders of the world.

She said: "I might take a vacation. Take a year off. I want to travel and learn more about other cultures. The more I've grown up the more I want to do that. That means more to me than going to clubs every night."  Apparently Lohan is planning on taking a year off to travel and learn things like, how do they snort powdery substances in Tunisia? How do Amsterdam's red light workers stay fresh and clean? How do the Norwegians treat Herpes? How do Peruvian moms get on with their daughters?

Meanwhile, Lindsay has hit back at claims she is partying too hard.

The 'Mean Girls' star has earned a reputation as one of Hollywood's biggest party girls during her short career. She was even photographed without any underwear a few weeks ago during a night out in London.

However, Lindsay insists she doesn't go out anymore than any other girl her age and would slow down if her mother Dina told her to.

She said: "It's up to me and my mom to decide if I am partying too much. I'm an angel compared to some of my friends."
