Holmes and Beckham burn plastic in Paris

Young mother Katie Holmes and mum of three boys Victoria Beckham have gone shopping in Paris on a break from their husband/ boyfriend and family duties of delegating the help.

Posh Spice Girl Victoria needed a new buddy to accompany her for a two-day break in the City of Lights.

Holmes cleared her departure from the Cruise compound and was reportedly "overwhelmed with excitement" at the prospect of a trip and boarded a private jet from Los Angeles.

Victoria will fly from Madrid to join Katie today.  French retailers were said to be dabbing at their moistened eyes with deep gratitude.

A source revealed to Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "Victoria and Katie have grown really close in recent months and they've been in touch every few days since Suri was born. Victoria thought Katie could do with a couple of days of 'me' time to indulge herself. They are both very excited about the trip."

The pair will have front row seats at all of the top catwalk shows at Paris Fashion Week.

The two gals about town will be going on designer shopping trips (bien sur!) and exclusive pampering sessions (quelle marveleuse!).

Katie, 27, and Victoria, 32, became close after the actress began dating Tom Cruise, who is a friend of the Beckhams, last year.
