Stella McCartney's a Hargreaves 'Little Miss'

Stella McCartney - AngloMania Costume Institute Gala at The Metropolitan Museum of Art - Arrivals - Metropolitan Museum of Art - New York, NY © Janet Mayer / PhotorazziThe fashion designer, the daughter of former Beatle Sir Paul McCartney, has been transformed into Little Miss Stella for her own story book adventure.In the book Little Miss Stella meets Little Miss Nobody, who is so unfashionable everyone ignores her. But Stella designs her a suit and transforms her into a "somebody".Stella, 35, admits she is thrilled with the book, saying: "I think it's great fun. The Little Miss books are iconic."The story was created by author and illustrator Adam Hargreaves, son of the creator of the Mr Men and Little Miss book series Roger Hargreaves.Only 1,000 copies of the book are being printed and they are being used as invitations to Stella's Spring/Summer 2007 show at Paris Fashion Week.Adam Hargreaves said: "It was great fun working with Stella on the Little Miss Stella story. I am really delighted that she has become the 84th Mr Men and Little Miss character - if only for a limited time."The Mr Men books, which include a varied range of characters such as Mr Tickle, Mr Strong and Mr Bump, were created by Roger Hargreaves in 1971 when his young son asked him, "What does a tickle look like?"
