Anorexic 'Dr. Who' star Billie Piper's tissue consumption
By Stone Martindale Oct 2, 2006, 20:24 GMT
Currently the Guiness book of records champ for longest running series on television, British production "Doctor Who" has a star battling anorexia. "Who" star Billie Piper was so desperate to stay skinny at the height of her battle with the eating disorder that she forced herself to eat tissue paper.
Piper admitted she battled the eating disorder for years, but says she is currently healthy and happy.
She stated, "I'd cut everything out and see how long I could go before I had to eat. At one point, I managed five days.
"I read once about a girl who ate tissues to fill herself up, so once I tried to force Kleenex down my throat. But not only I was still hungry, I nearly choked on a ball of tissue."

Billie, in my opinion, has _ruined_ her career, so buoyed by the inspired romance with the Doctor, now plays a call girl! Too bad. Of course, it will be a British audience that will have to decide, but I know that in America (extremely puritan in thought if not deed) she has committed career suicide.
