Charlie Sheen swimming in dough
Sep 28, 2006, 14:48 GMT
Charlie Sheen is to become highest-paid sitcom star, according to reports.
According to sources at TV network CBS, the 'Two and a Half Men' star will now receive $350,000 per episode.
However, Charlie - who has spent two months negotiating his new deal - has a long way to go before becoming the highest paid sitcom star of all time.
That honour goes to 'Everybody Loves Raymond' star Ray Romano who was paid almost $2 million per episode for the show's final season in 2005.
Both Charlie's spokespeople and CBS have refused to comment on his new salary deal.
Meanwhile, his estranged wife, 'Wild Things' star Denise Richards, has agreed to drop a restraining order against him.
The couple agreed divorce terms earlier this month but the legal separation is still yet to be finalised.
Denise had taken out a restraining order which required the 'Hot Shots' star to stay at least 300 yards from his wife and their daughters, Sam, two, and Lola, one, except for supervised visits.
It recently expired and it has now been revealed that Richards has agreed to drop the order as part of the divorce terms.
