Anastacia to marry

Singer Anastacia is set to marry her bodyguard.

The 'I'm Outta Love' singer has said yes to her British bodyguard boyfriend Wayne Newton after he promised to "protect her forever".

A source told Britain's The Sun newspaper: "She fell for him hook, line and sinker. It's very sexy to have someone looking after you.

"He went down on bended knee and said he couldn't imagine a life where he wasn't protecting her. She said yes instantly.

"They are so much in love it is unbelievable."

Wayne has guarded the US star on several tours and he left his girlfriend Lorraine Elston - the mother of his two children, who are aged nine and two - for Anastacia in March.

The martial arts expert was a pillar of strength for the blonde singer during her breast cancer battle in 2003.

Anastacia discovered she had cancer while preparing for breast reduction surgery due to orthopaedic reasons.

After completing a course of treatment, she established a fund through the Breast Cancer Research Fund to promote breast cancer awareness among younger women.

The singer has been linked to several men during her career.

She had a six-year relationship with Shawn Woods, who she once described as the "love of her life". The couple reportedly split after Anastacia found him in bed with another woman, an incident which is said to have inspired the lyrics to hit single 'Why'd You Lie to Me'.

Anastacia shares her Beverly Hills home with Wayne and the pair are said to be planning to wed next year.
