British actress Helen Mirren sits next to the Volpi Cup after being awarded as best actress for her performance in the film "The Queen" by Stephen Frears at 63rd International Exhibition of Cinema Art, better known as Venice Film Festival, EPA/CLAUDIO ONORATI
Say it ain't so! The actress winning the most raves and notice pre Oscar, Golden Globes and BAFTA awards, English beauty Dame Helen Mirren is said to be considering turning her back on TV and movie roles because she doubts she'll ever top her success this year.
Mirren took the honors of Best Actress for her performance as Queen Elizabeth II in The Queen at the Venice Film Festival in Italy earlier this month.
Her HBO two part series Elizabeth and Prime Suspect were also stand out, and Mirren is perhaps now eyeing a permanent move to theatre.
She says, "Maybe all I will do for the rest of my career is stage. We'll see. I feel that it can never be as good again as this year.
"Elizabeth was the pinnacle of everything for me. And then doing The Queen and then Prime Suspect in one year. It's been an absolutely amazing year."
