With great fear of losing her trademark gifted ability to act so convincingly, Kate Winslet refuses to entertain the thought of ever having Botox injections.

Recently playing the salty mouthed nun on Ricky Gervais' HBO series Extras, the stunning red-head thespian knows just how important facial expressions are to an actor's craft, and is mystified by Hollywood stars placing personal vanity above their craft.

"When you're acting, you have to be able to move your face. You have to be able to communicate your emotions through your expression, and I would hate to have that taken away.

"I've no intention of getting carved up or injected, thank you very much." Said Winslet at the Toronto Film Festival.

An actress since childhood, Winslet grew up in what she describes as a large, loving family of mostly of actors.  Her parents are both stage actors.  Her grandparents ran the Reading Repertory Theater.

Both her sisters are actors. Winslet has acted since she was a child and was 13 when she began landing roles on TV.

Debuting on film at 17 in Heavenly Creatures,  Winslet has starred in films Sense And Sensibility, Jude, Hamlet, Hideous Kinky, Titanic, Iris, Quills, Life Of David Gale, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, Finding Neverland, Little Children and now All The King's Men among her recent films.

Winslet talks at length about young girls and body image in contemporary society, a subject dear to her heart. "More than ever now, I believe it's so important to look as real and true to life as possible, because nobody's perfect. I seem to be on a mission, but I don't want the next generation, your daughters and mine, growing up thinking that you have to be thin to look beautiful in certain clothes. It's terrifying right now. It's out of control. It's beyond out of control."
