Amsterdam - A 63-year-old Dutch dominie, who objected to a crucifixion scene in Madonna's current series of concerts, has admitted telephoning a hoax bomb threat at the time of her Amsterdam concert last weekend, prosecutors in the Dutch capital said Friday.
The unnamed preacher wanted to prevent the Sunday concert taking place in the Amsterdam Arena, a large stadium on the outskirts of the city.
The dominie was released, but prosecutors said they intended to pursue the case.
A scene in which Madonna wears a crown of thorns and is raised on a cross during her Live to Tell song has caused offence across Europe.
Dutch authorities came under pressure from Christian parties to prosecute the singer, but said they had no grounds to do so.
