Heather Mills meets with divorce lawyer

Heather Mills has met with her divorce lawyer.

The former model - who is in the process of divorcing estranged husband Sir Paul McCartney - had a three-hour meeting with top lawyer Anthony Julius in London yesterday (05.09.06).

Heather's lawyer Anthony Julius, nicknamed 'Anthony Genius', won the late Princess Diana a £17 million settlement in her divorce from Prince Charles.

Fiona Shackleton - who represented Prince Charles during his 1996 divorce proceedings - has been hired by Sir Paul McCartney.

A source told Britain's Daily Mail newspaper: "Shackleton and Julius each want the best deal for their clients. It will take as long as it takes."

Wearing a white dress, black wedges and sunglasses, Heather looked serious as Julius escorted her out of his Holborn offices.

The 38-year-old is already said to have turned down a £30 million settlement and reports suggest she may accept a staggered settlement worth around £80 million.

Meanwhile, a close friend of Heather's has rubbished reports the couple met to ease tensions surrounding their bitter split.

A source said: "The only breakthrough they've had over the past week is actually talking face to face, as opposed to over the phone - but even this was purely about their daughter Beatrice."
