Sting has demanded that a fishing hut half a mile from his Wiltshire mansion be bulldozed because it is spoiling his view.
The former Police singer has reported the tiny river-side hut to the local council for being put up without planning permission as he feels it ruins the view from his bedroom window.
A spokesman for Sting, real name Gordon Summer, said: "I can confirm that Sting has objected. This is a commercial venture by a multi-millionaire property developer, built without planning consent in an area of outstanding natural beauty, which is also a site of special scientific interest."
The 'log-styled' shelter has been put up in the grounds of Great Durnford Manor, the neighbouring estate to Sting's own £7 million, 800 acre manor property, in England.
The tax exile pop star rarely visits the Avon-side manor, choosing to spend most of his time in his much large Italian estate in Tuscany, where staff produce his own brands of olive oil and wine. He and wife Trudi Styler also have a London home which they use when they come to Britain.
Representatives for the manor company describe the hut as: "A flat pack fishing hut where fisherman can shelter from the rain."
