Halliwell “Ginger Spice” claims 3 month old daughter abused
By M&C News Sep 4, 2006, 1:25 GMT
Fametastic UK bloggers have reported Geri Halliwell, known as Ginger Spice from her pop star days, has accused a temporary nanny of physically abusing Geri’s three and a half month old daughter Bluebell.
Allegedly the nanny was looking after the baby while Geri went for a walk with two friends.
When mum Geri and her friend returned home, they found baby Bluebell crying.
Fametastic reports that an unnamed inside source revealed: “Geri was absolutely hysterical. Bluebell is such a happy little child and it broke Geri up to see her in such a state.”
“She could tell that this was not just a baby’s tantrum, so she checked Bluebell and found bruising on her arm.”
“It was the silence from the nanny that so alarmed Geri. If the nanny had explained there had been an accident, she maybe could have understood.”
“Geri has barely let Bluebell out of her sight since the birth. Then she leaves her with someone and all hell breaks loose.”
London’s Metropolitan Police confirmed they have received a report about the incident on August 18th and “officers from our Child Abuse Investigations Unit are investigating and inquiries are continuing. There have been no arrests.”
Geri’s personal assistant Antony Read was quoted: “Bluebell is now happy and well, and there are no further concerns for her welfare.”
Halliwell, Ginger Spice of the Spice Girls, gave birth to her first child, Bluebell Madonna, back in May.
