Lindsay Lohan allegedly has turned her back on her partying lifestyle.
The 'Mean Girls' star is said to be cutting down on her wild nights out after her new boyfriend, socialite Harry Morton, told Lindsay her behavior was having a negative effect on her career.
An insider told the New York Post newspaper: 'Harry has told her not to drink so much and is trying to calm her down.' Lindsay was due to attend the MTV Video Music Awards, in New York, on Thursday (31.08.06), however, the 20-year-old actress has now decided to shun the event to stay home in Los Angeles instead. The insider added: 'Harry told her not to go, so she called her friends and said, 'I don't need to be there.' Last week, veteran actor William H. Macy criticised Lindsay for her constant lateness on the set of their upcoming film 'Bobby'. Macy said he admired her talent, but not her manners. He said: 'You can't show up late. It's very, very disrespectful.' Lindsay was also blasted in a letter last month from the CEO of Morgan Creek Productions for her absences on the set of her new film 'Georgia Rule'.Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
