John Aniston has heart attack
By Stone Martindale Aug 24, 2006, 19:47 GMT
Life & Style reports that Jennifer Aniston heard the news that her actor father John Aniston reportedly suffered a heart attack last Friday and spent much of the weekend at his bedside. Soap actor and star John, 73, is recovering at West Hills Hospital & Medical Center in California.
A family insider tells the publication, "It was a scary few hours before Jen got definitive word from doctors that her dad would be fine."
Life & Style reports Jennifer's boyfriend Vince Vaughn proved to be a great support throughout the weekend, dropping a number of commitments to be with her.
Aniston is familiar to fans of daytime soap opera television; he has appeared in soap operas almost continually since 1975, when he joined the cast of Love of Life as Eddie Aleata. In 1978, he left Love and played Mary Stuart's new love interest, Martin Tourneur, on Search for Tomorrow. He played that role until 1984. He joined the cast of Days of Our Lives as Victor Kiriakis (1985-1997, 1999-2004, 2004-present).
Born in Crete, John Aniston's best friend was the late actor Telly Savalas, according to Wikipedia.
The family source says, "Vaughn cancelled several appointments and stayed by her side. I don't think Jen is ever going to forget what a stand-up guy Vince was and how he really stuck by her just when she needed him the most."

no offense needed to be taken-Aniston 'pere' is popular with many soap addicted millions, yet the world is currently infatuated with his very famous daughter Jennifer and her relationship with Vince Vaughn. Can't change that truth.
Not sure how you felt this article was well written, the last paragraph should have come under the one talking about Vaughn, not under the one talking about John Aniston.

This is well written article, but why don't you tell the story of John Aniston? He is the one who is ill and he does have many many fans out here that could care less if Jens boyfriend cancelled appointments to be by her side, we want to know how John is doing, not Jen and certainly not her boyfriend. How offensive!
