Sir Elton John poses with pet dogs

Sir Elton John has posed with his pet dogs for a new charity calendar.
The pictures in the calendar, entitled 'Pet Pawtraits', were shot by Rod Stewart's model-turned-photographer fiancée Penny Lancaster and feature a host of stars with their four-legged friends.
In the photo Sir Elton is seen standing proudly with his beloved spaniels Arthur and Marilyn. Other stars to pose for the calendar, include music mogul Simon Cowell, who is snapped with his Cairn Terrier Buster, and Penny's fiancé Rod Stewart who posed sitting in a park with the couple's Labrador Mrs Potts. Money raised from sales of the calendar will go to animal charity PDSA, but Penny - who gave birth to her and Rod's baby Alistair last November - claism shooting the star-studded project turned out to be a challenge. She said 'It was pretty chaotic juggling everything at the same time. 'I was breast-feeding and taking pictures while trying to keep the animals still. 'We just wanted to help people who can't afford to pay vets' fees.' Other celebrities featured in the calendar with their canine friends, include former Atomic Kitten singer Jenny Frost, British TV actress Roxanne Pallett, and TV presenter Gabby Logan.Copyright 2006 BANG Media International
