Justin Timberlake defends Janet Jackson boob

Justin Timberlake has defended Janet Jackson over their infamous nipple-gate scandal.

When the two stars performed a duet at the 2004 Super Bowl, America was in uproar after Jackson's outfit was ripped open to expose her bare breast, complete with nipple piercing, on live television.

Now Justin has admitted that he got an easy ride compared to Janet in the wake of the controversial incident.

Timberlake said: 'If you consider it as 50/50, I probably got 10 per cent of the blame - and that says something about society.

'I think America's harsher on women and I think it's unfairly harsh on ethnic people.'

When quizzed about the stunt, Janet described it as a 'wardrobe malfunction' and insisted it had not been planned.

Justin, 25, admits he was stunned by the furore caused by the performance, but insists he has learned from the incident.

He added: 'I didn't handle it the best way I could have but you get your bumps and bruises from it and you learn.'
