MUMBAI- Stunning Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai had to recently cancel her Dhoom 2 shoot in which she stars opposite Hrithik Roshan.

Krishnaraj Rai. Ash’s father, was diagnosed with Gangrene of the intestines, and was hospitalized. No word was released on how the disease had manifested.
Rai was admitted to the Hinduja hospital in Mumbai. According to numerous Indian media sources, dutiful daughter Ash put all filming on hold and rushed to be with him.
Ash was filming Dhoom 2 in South Africa. First word of her father’s illness, she came back home to India.
It was reported that Krishnaraj Rai had a persistent stomachache and had been vomiting. He was taken to a hospital where ultrasound and other tests were done. A minor operation was done. He is much better now and recuperating under a team of expert doctors.
Ash and her mother Vrinda were with Krishnaraj through the night. Ash left the hospital next morning after the doctors gave him the thumbs up.
Dhoom 2, the sequel of Dhoom, has superstar Ash and Hrithik playing toney crooks being chased by cops, played by Abhishek Bachchan and Bipasha Basu and aided by Uday Chopra .
One of the most eagerly awaited Bollywood films, Dhoom 2 is scheduled to release on November 24, 2006.
