Senator Barack Obama admonishes gas guzzlers; drives off in SUV

Illinois affiliate WPSD-TV reports that Illinois Senator Barack Obama warned citizens at his 50th Town Hall meeting about gas guzzling vehicles.
According to reports, the standing room only audience at the Metropolis Community Center heard the popular senator Obama speak on everything from politics to global warming.
According to Obama, part of the blame for the world's higher temperatures rests on gas guzzling vehicles. Obama says consumers can make the difference by switching to hybrid cars.
Obama said, "It would save more energy, do more for the environment and create better world security than all the drilling we could do in Alaska."
According to the reporter at local News Channel 6: "After the meeting Obama left in a GMC Envoy after admitting to favoring SUV's himself."

Atta boy Barak! It appears you have studied my Hypocrisy well. Welcome to the wonderful lifestyle of being a 'do as I say' Democrat. I love telling people what they should do in my bland authoritative tones, then do whatever pleases me and my 250lb (and growing) body. Like driving around in a well air-conditioned American gas-guzzling SUV. Be sure not to fly coach anymore - instead insist that your wealthy Democrat voters make sure you can span long distances in the luxury of their state-of-the-art executive jet. I find it more comforting if I fly with just Tipper (with me packing on pounds now, it's tough to have more people on the plane). If you care to sontinue selling the 'global warming' message, just follow my contrails around the world. So, Barak if anyone asks you about the SUV or jet- setting tell them I said it was okay.
PS It's snowing in South Africa and there are no hurricanes yet this year - I guess I'll chalk this up to...global warming!

Maybe Senator Barack Obama could borrow California Governor Schwarzenegger's hydrogen powered Hummer that costs over one million dollars and has a 30 mi range. The hydrogen is very clean, but only 1/4 as energy efficient as battery electric vehicles. Still the Senators image could only improve over his addiction to oil use of the big SUV.
To streignthen their 'gas guzzeling message' the solid information in 'Who Killed The Electric Car?' should be required viewing of all Senators and staff.
