Janet Jackson squelches rumors about her secret child

Janet Jackson has furiously denied reports propagated by her ex-husband James DeBarge's family, who she claims is making up stories about a secret child, allegedly the singer's niece.
Janet Jackson and James DeBarge were briefly married in 1984, had a daughter together, DeBarge's brother Young DeBarge has claimed on a radio program.
DeBarge said the child, Renee, 18, has been living with Rebbie Jackson, Janet's oldest sister. His comments fueled speculation that has been hanging around for years claiming Janet has a "secret" daughter.
"James and the Jackson family kept everything real close, real tight," Young DeBarge said last Friday on New York radio station WQHT, known as Hot 97.
"They weren't very revealing about what the relationship was about. No one really knew how it was working out until things kind of surfaced," He added, "There's no telling what (Janet Jackson) is telling her."
OK! Magazine has published Janet’s side of it. She says, "The really painful thing about that is that they are bringing a real human being into it, my niece, and no one's thinking about her feelings. She calls me about it and says, 'Aunty Janet, it's so stupid. They don't even have the math right...' There is no way I could have had a child. Everyone would have seen that I was pregnant."

I agree Janet's da bomb, but I don't think she's being truthful. Look how long her marriage to James and Renee was kept a secret.

I believe it to be true, back when Janet was working with Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis, I was a babysitter for one of their (JJ and TL) good friends. Their friend, Marcie (in St. Paul, MN) use to mention that Janet had a daughter and it was a really huge secret. I do believe Janet has a daughter, it is really a shame that she will not admit it.
i use to watch fame and on the last episode, she appeared to look like she had a belly big like four or five months pregnant and her face was very swollen like a pregnancy face i know everyone not crazy, they might be given the wrong age of the girl, she looks mix rebbie and her husband are dark before she lighten her skin her other kids were dark before they lighten they're skin ask them to fame last episode on tv for everyone

i agree with molly's comment put fame last episode with janet on tv, she appeared to look like he is four or five months pregnant, she might be giving the wrong age of her niece on purpose to throw people off the girl look like she can be janet and james debarge daughter

the commment above is right, janet is lying. i love janet too, but the truth is the truth. i don't believe that brandi jackson's birthdate is in 1982. try 1985 when janet was on fame. and i don't believe that she called janet and said 'the math don't add up'. that's what janet wants you to believe. renee' knows who her real mother is.
@molly...i saw footage of that last episode of fame you are talking about.....and yes janet looks very much pregnant on there.
