Popular American scribes John Irving and Stephen King are said to be launching a campaign to prevent JK Rowling from whacking the wizard Harry Potter in her next book.
Writers Irving, who has a penchant for bears and wrestling, and King, who has made the state of Maine more interesting than it actually is, turned their literary attention to the boy wizard and Rowling’s plans for his “end.”
At a recent New York press conference, where the three authors were staging a charity reading, Irving said, "My fingers are crossed for Harry."
