Gwyneth Paltrow's behavior exposes Brit’s disdain for hugs
By M&C News Jul 29, 2006, 17:59 GMT
Academy Award-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow lives "in another world", according to a co-star Sara Stewart who has spoken out to the Daily Mirror about her "bizarre" backstage behavior.
The two actresses worked side by side in the London play Proof.
Paltrow, 33, insisted on personal chefs to cook her meals, instigated group hugs and practiced yoga between performances. Stewart recalls, "Gwyneth is lovely but she is, in the nicest sense, in another world.
"Personal chefs prepared her macrobiotic food but the food was delicious…even brownies with no chocolate! She practiced yoga so she was incredibly flexible. I didn't have to do that but we did have a cast 'group hug' every night. It is so ‘not British’, but it was OK."

I was engaged to a man from Islington once, he despised any physical expressions of love like hugging unless he had been drinking.
