Sexy beast Ian McShane: To be killed off?

Lancashire native Ian McShane has dropped hints and allegations that his beloved cuss-bucket character, Al Swearengen, is going to get a Sopranos styled sayonara, maybe. Fans of the gritty western series that ends in 2007 are bemoaning the loss of the wildly popular HBO series. McShane doesn't think the profane Swearengen character will survive the bitter end of Deadwood. He says, " I'm told my character died in the stockyards in Denver. Who knows what David Milch (creator and writer) will come up with?" McShane does lives on in the new thriller currently in production, Case 39, directed by Christian Alvert co-starring Renee Zellweger,to be released by Paramount.

You've misread Ian McShane's comments. He referred to his real-life character dying in the Denver stockyards YEARS after the period of the Deadwood show. He was NOT hinting that the character would die on the show.
