Frontman Pete Doherty is sticking to his promise to Kate Moss, the ex-girlfriend he made a vow that he would regain his health and sobriety, and is giving rehab yet another try.
His group, Babyshambles, has put their touring on hold for the moment.
A Wednesday concert date has been postponed on the Spanish resort island of Ibiza.
The tour's concert promoter, Andy McKay, announced that the 27-year-old Doherty will check into a London clinic on Monday.
"We were all really looking forward to welcoming Babyshambles back to the island this year for Ibiza Rocks but, at the end of the day, we love and support Pete and it's his health and happiness that are important," McKay said.
Doherty has been struggling with his addiction demons this year quite publicly.
Pete pleaded guilty to drug possession charges in January and was sentenced to rehab and a year of drug testing but still he hadn't had one clean test yet.
With fans and old friends like Moss who are trying to help him stay the course, Doherty has been trying to keep to the road to recovery. He checked into a rehab treatment facility in Portugal last month a week after an incident in Barcelona.
Doherty was scheduled to get a chemical implant in his abdomen to help him kick his opiate addictions. In the last year Doherty has been arrested a few times in possession of various illegal drugs.
